Innovative Sales & Merchandising Ltd was established in 2010 to fill a growing need in the New Zealand FMCG market for a retail services agency to partner with small to medium businesses that wanted to outsource their sales and merchandising activities. We are not “just another FMCG brokerage” because we are selective about the businesses that we work with to ensure we are an extension of your business, add value to what you are doing, and have a vested interest in ensuring your products are successful in the market.

Innovative Sales & Merchandising Ltd are a dedicated team of more than 60 experienced and passionate FMCG sales professionals with a wealth of knowledge about how to help business owners achieve their business goals. Our salespeople are supermarket and category experts currently servicing products across the following retail departments – Dry Grocery, Chilled & Frozen, Health & Beauty, Pet & Baby, General Merchandise, In-store Bakery, Butchery, Service Deli, Pharmacy, and Liquor. We really are “Jack of all trades”, generalists with broad skills and knowledge, and masters of integration to bring it all together with activation excellence.  

Leadership

Innovative Sales & Merchandising Ltd offers comprehensive coverage throughout New Zealand so you can be represented nationally to maximise your brand reach. ISM Area Managers are in the main centres and frequently visit key customers across the region to undertake field sales execution with a focus on “putting your products in danger of being put into shopping trolleys”. 

Innovative Sales & Merchandising Ltd Company Director Grant Pemberton has been in the FMCG industry since he was a schoolboy (packing groceries at Foodtown Manukau, then going on to complete Progressive Enterprises in-house Trainee Management Program). Grant eventually jumped over to the supplier side and worked his way up the chain in corporate roles achieving retailer recognition in the form of multiple awards for industry excellence in key account management.  Having worked his way up in the FMCG industry from the ground level he has a comprehensive understanding of the pitfalls, shortcuts, and best practices required to get the job done expertly and cost-effectively. Over time Grant has forged strong trade relationships and is very well respected within the FMCG industry so that ISM can leverage for building and maintaining long-term commercial partnerships.
